Building Projects (continued)

I forgot about the front drive project, it was actually one of the first projects. There was a concrete driveway to the garage side of the house. The front of the house faced west toward the 100 feet of woods between the house and the main access road to our subdivision. Without cutting down any of the many large trees in that section, we marked out a circle path much wider than a car’s width and came within 20 feet of the house’s front entry. We cleared it of small trees and brush. We lined the sides of the front drive with 8-foot landscape timbers. We ordered 30 tons of river rock which when delivered was dumped all in one big pile out by the street. I shoveled and wheel barrowed all 30 tons and Nancy spread it 4 inches deep over all of the circle drive.
